“Thai One On” at Steamworks’ Firkin Friday Nov. 4

The devil returns to Steamworks!

We are rolling out “Thai One On” for our monthly showcase of unique hand-crafted beers: *Firkin Fridays. The keg will be tapped at 3 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 4, 2016.

“For the ‘Thai One On’ we’ve started with our wicked Ale Diablo and added lemongrass, ginger and Thai basil,” said our Director of Brewing Operations Ken Martin, Certified Cicerone®. “The Ale Diablo is our Belgian Strong Golden ale, which is an unfiltered straw colored wheat beer noted for its yeast derived phenolic spiciness. Aromas of pear and tropical fruit blend nicely with the additional spice combination.”

Brewer and Certified Cicerone® Spencer Roper added, “This one comes in at an 8.5% ABV (alcohol by volume), so beware of the devil.”

You will be able to get a 10 oz. draw for $1 or a 20 oz. imperial pint for $2 until it’s gone!

*A firkin is an old English unit of volume, typically a wooden cask equal to approximately one-quarter of a regular barrel, or nine/ten gallons. The word “firkin” is derived from the Middle Dutch word vierdekijn, which means “fourth” as in one-fourth the size.
