BAYFIELD, Colo. – As part of Steamworks Brewing Co.’s corporate policy to “give back” to local communities, the Bayfield Steamworks brewpub has presented $1300 to Bayfield High School, earmarked to support the Wolverines Marching Band.
The funds were generated during the fourth quarter (October-December 2007) through the Steamworks program “Wolverine Wednesdays.” Each Wednesday, Steamworks-Bayfield sets aside 3 percent of total sales for the day, which, at the end of the quarter is tallied and donated to a targeted
“We’re extremely pleased with the growth of this program and the support from the community,” said Brian McEachron, Steamworks director of marketing and sales. “The three months of Wednesday’s sales this first quarter of 08 is going to support the Bayfield Student Council.”
The name Wolverine Wednesdays is derived from the mascot for
“Wednesdays continue to be very strong at the Bayfield pub,” added McEachron. “It’s terrific see everyone coming out to Steamworks for a great meal and great beer for a good cause.”
