Community members are invited to help Steamworks Brewing Co. celebrate its 16th Anniversary at a special gourmet Beer Dinner, Friday, Sept. 14, 2012, beginning at 7 p.m.
Tickets are $75 per person (tax and tip included) for the five-course dinner, many ingredients locally sourced. Each course is paired with a specially-selected Steamworks hand-crafted brew.
“Steamworks and our Executive Chef Sean Clark are known as leaders in food and craft beer pairings,” said Kris Oyler, Steamworks co-founder, reminding that Steamworks was the first brewpub invited to participate in the inaugural craft beer dinner held at the prestigious James Beard House in New York City. “We have garnered a reputation nationally as a ‘gastro-pub,’ and our beer dinners are in keeping with this quality of food and beer. We look forward to a fun and delicious evening.”
The menu for the Steamworks 16th Anniversary Beer Dinner features an appetizer of Rabbit Confit Bruschetta paired with Third Eye P.A.; first course – Composed Arugula Salad, Thistle Whistle Farms Goat Cheese, Roasted Beets and Earl Grey & Palisade Peach Dressing paired with Devil’s Fruit Basket; second course – Grilled Turducken Filet, Flander’s Gastrique, Potato Threads, Fava Beans paired with Flander’s Red; third course – Plum-infused Bacon-wrapped Sunnyside Pork Tenderloin, Guajillo Chile Sauce, Masa Cake paired with Steamworks Barleywine; Dessert – Bourbon Barrel-smoked Chocolate and Vanilla Crème Trifle paired with Bourbon Barrel Scottish ale. If there are wine lovers out there, the lugana dop wine is perfect for those who love the sweet bitter taste.
